Faith Formation for Children

It is within the family where children are raised and formed as human beings. The parental role in this human formation is governed by love, a love which places itself “at the service of children to draw forth from them (“e-ducere“) the best that is in them” and which “finds its fullest expression precisely in the task of educating.” (Compendium, No. 239) The family is the “first school.” A parish religious education program exists to assist your family in teaching your children the faith and the teaching of the Church.

During the Liturgy of the Word of the 10:30 am Mass each Sunday from September through April at Sts. Peter and Paul, catechists present the readings of the day to children age four through fourth grade in a way they can clearly understand.

PREP – Parish Religious Education Program

Our Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is for all children who attend public school grades 1 through 8. We are blessed to have a staff of wonderful, faith-filled catechists who dedicate many hours to sharing their faith and the teaching of the Church with our children.

Registration for PREP takes place in late Summer and registration will be publicized in the weekly bulletin. Classes run from September through May on Monday evenings in the Sts. Peter and Paul School building. For more information, contact Beth Pettigrew at 513- 554-1010 or Beth.

Registration form can be found here.
