Come and chat, pray a rosary and eat s’mores with Fr. Alex McCullough, Fr. Jeff Stegbauer, or Fr. Roberto Becerra Reyes. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new faces and get to know our priests better as we transition into a new parish family. Holy grounds: Coffee with Fr. Stegbauer

After three daily Masses in July, Fr. Stegbauer will not rush off to work, but will settle down with coffee. He will be content to sip his coffee along with some spiritual reading. However, he will always joyfully welcome any company. Anyone who wishes to say hi, get to know him, talk to him about whatever is on your heart, or hear about what he is reading, then please stop by!

  • Thursday, 7/7, after the St. James 8:15am Mass, he will be at Wyoming Community Coffee, 434 Springfield Pike.
  • Monday, 7/11, after the OLV 8:30am Mass, he will be at Bitter Sweet, 1001 Jefferson Avenue in Reading.
  • Wednesday, 7/27, after the OLR 8:15am Mass, he will be in the OLR office living room.

Father will be in all locations until 10:30am.

The Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for July

We pray for the elderly, who represent the roots and memory of a people; may their experience and wisdom help young people to look towards the future with hope and responsibility

Altar Servers and Sacristans Needed for Funeral Masses

Please consider assisting at funerals as an altar server or sacristan. Needed are men or women who have availability during weekdays, and young adults who are willing to serve at funeral Masses while on summer break from school. Training will be provided. Anyone willing to learn the roles of server or sacristan for funeral Masses should contact or call the office at 513-554-1010.

Accepting Donations For the Mountain Outlet Next Weekend

Next weekend, July 9th/10th, Mission Ministries will be collecting items for the Mountain Outlet Store in Paintsville, Kentucky. Items will be collected at the Parish Center (the former SSPP school) Saturday from 3:30-4:00pm and Sunday from 8:30-9:00am. Carts will be available inside the doors. The donation room is inside

Mission Ministries is able to accept your new and gently used clothing, toys, bedding, small kitchen appliances and small pieces of furniture. These items are sold through the store and the money is used to keep the Catholic Our Lady of the Mountains School in Paintsville operational.

Items may also be brought to the Parish Center building during parish office hours. Call the office (513-554-1010) for admittance. There will be a cart at the entrance for your items.

In the following months the collection before our Saturday 4:00pm and Sunday 9:00am Masses will take place the weekend of the second Sunday of each month, coinciding with “Meatloaf Weekend”.

There will be a training session for anyone interested in laundering and caring for our church linens. The date and time will be announced shortly.

Give Comfort to those who Grieve

Would you be willing to give comfort to grieving families by helping plan their loved ones’ funeral liturgy? The Bereavement Ministry at Our Lady of the Valley Parish is in need of more caring people to join their team. This is a very meaningful and important ministry at our parish. Golden Anniversary Mass

Married couples celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2022 are invited to attend the
Golden Anniversary Mass on Sunday, August 14th at 11:00 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains by Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr.
