The Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for November

For children who suffer

We pray for children who are suffering, especially those who are homeless, orphans, and victims of war; may they be guaranteed access to education and the opportunity to experience family affection.

The Church needs shepherds. Pray that the bishops will lead us well and rely on the power of God. (2 Samuel 5:1-3)

Assistance during Mass for the Hearing Impaired

Two Different Systems Available for Use

There is one system for those people who have smartphones-cell phones that can access the internet and download “apps”. This system involves downloading the WaveCAST app and can be used with a newer type of hearing aid or with your own headphones that you bring from home. Please take note that you MUST put your cell phone on airplane mode to use this system, after you have connected to the wi-fi in church.

There is another system for those with older model hearing aids equipped with T-Coil. Our parish has two audio receiver devices available currently, and will be getting two more. To get an audio receiver device ask an usher; they will be available on a first come first served basis.

If you are interested in using one of these systems, please arrive at least 15 minutes before Mass and pick up a detailed instruction sheet in the main entrance of church. Ushers will be able to assist you and answer questions or contact Gary Otten at 513-200-5578. Instructions are also on our parish website www.CatholicOLV.org and on the OLV Facebook page.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

Tuesdays, 7:00pm, Notre Dame Hall (OLV Parish Office), Fr. Henry Lammers Conference Room on the second floor

RCIA is for a person who has not been baptized and would like to explore the possibility of becoming Catholic, a Baptized Christian of another denomination who may possibly want to join the Catholic tradition, or a person who is a Baptized Roman Catholic who has not received Eucharist or Confirmation and would like to become a full participant in the life of the Church. If you are in one of these categories, please join our RCIA sessions during this inquiry period. RCIA is an opportunity for learning about the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church and for questions about Catholicism to be answered, invite anyone you know who might be interested.

For more information contact Beth.Pettigrew@CatholicOLV.org or 513-554-1010 extension 23.
