Sandwich Making for St. Francis Seraph Ministries

For around twenty years, members of Sts. Peter and Paul (and now Our Lady of the Valley) parish have gotten together monthly to make sandwiches for the Soup Kitchen operated by St. Francis Seraph Ministries in Over the Rhine.

The group of 12 –15 volunteers makes 350 bologna and cheese sandwiches and sends with them packaged goods such as hot dogs, meatballs and vegetables. SVDP provides turkeys to take to the kitchen for Thanksgiving and Christmas in lieu of the sandwiches.

This ministry was begun by Carol Bullock Carpenter. Ken Stall and the late JoAnn Money took it over from Carol, and Ken and his dedicated team continue it now. The group will be meeting on January 24th and every fourth Tuesday monthly.
